Technically this is possible using Fusion. "From addresses" use Liquid and should be able to successfully access the {{external.___}} properties loaded using the Fusion feature at the campaign content level.

We've moved this suggestion to our "Backlog" queue. At the current time we aren't intending to build this feature over the coming 18 months, but we will reconsider annually and if there are extra votes on this feature.
